MUSIC MINISTRY

Psalm 98, verses 4-6, tells us to "Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth, burst into jubilant song with music; make music to the Lord with the harp, with the harp and the sound of singing, with trumpets and the blast of the ram's horn - shout for joy before the Lord, the King."

At Westminster, we praise God through music with full vigor. We also realize that rehearsing and performing music is a very special form of worship for the participant as well as a ministry to the listener.

For any who wish to participate in this very special kind of ministry, there are several different avenues from which to choose:

Chancel Choir singing in worship service

  • If singing isn't within a person's comfort area we now have a Handbell Choir

Hand Bell Choir

  • Opportunities also exist for solo and small group special music, either vocal or instrumental, during all seasons.

Opportunities exist for special music

  • The Worship Team brings together a variety of instrumentalists and vocalists to lead contemporary music at the Informal Worship service at 10:00 a.m. Sunday morning.  The Worship Team practices at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday evenings.
